Choosing the Best Colleges and University

The term universities or colleges are normally used in the place of one another. This is because most of four-year colleges can offer the same academic opportunities and same services like these which are offered by the universities. Even if the universities can be better funded, more prestigious and larger than the colleges, it is not about the size but about the administration and governance. The colleges act as the single institution such as the public high schools and the universities are the collections of institution. The university can be the result of many colleges which are found under one administration but every college will have its own curriculum and dean. When a student attends one university, he can attend more than one course from many colleges. The university is normally expensive and it can be wiser to start the career in the community colleges.
The fees and the tuition for the community colleges are normally lower than having to pay for the universities and this means that their offerings can also be limited. Some colleges offer art courses and music and the courses that can be given are only basic subjects such as the language, social sciences, lab sciences and mathematics. This is among the reason why the people like to join the community colleges since it is one way for completing the basic education requirements in order of getting the lower division course and work in the economical way. The students who have finished the community college can enter the university with the junior class status and he can focus only on the major field for his studies.
Another method by which you can use to save the money that you spent on the tuition and fees is to do the credit by examination. Some universities and the college may offer the college level examination Program known as the CLEP. If you are able to demonstrate your understanding on the standardized test, then you can even receive the full credit for that course without entering in the classroom. This means that you can study at your own or you can try to get the knowledge elsewhere and you will be required only to do the exam. The cost for the credit can be just a fraction for the full tuition. Something that you need to keep in mind is that the universities and the colleges in the US can charge high price but every person who is able to pay for it can also attend the school. However, in EU, Japan and Korea universities are cheaper but less people are able to attend since they are selective. More people also will not be able to attend such universities especially because of the type of the public education in these countries. The students for the high school will also need to undergo rigorous exams that are able to determine their lives courses. In this way, many people are eliminated in the course of their studying which means that less people will be able to join the university so they may need to pass through the college before they join the University.

VLSI technology – heart of a modern computer

As human race developed there came evolution in terms of technology and machinery. In past hundred decades there has been development in the field of computing. Many systems and algorithms were developed and many methodologies implemented.
Even in present days there has been research as how to improve working procedures and ways of machines and to exploit resource to avail much profitable benefit. Computer is one such machinery and one such system which is developed to cater needs of a computing technology. Computer is able to compute hundreds and lacks of calculations in one second which is way beyond reach of human brain. Heart of computer components and hardware is the VLSI technology, which is better and commonly known as VERY LARGE SCALE INTEGRATION. Computer works on a single chip or dies which is called silicon die or wafer. This wafer uses electronic devices and takes the help of semiconductors which help in calculations. There would be no micro and mini computers without this technology. VLSI wafer design starts with implementation of silicon substrate and then oxidizing it and creating a NMOS and CMOS. A NMOS fabrication and manufacture takes a lot of economic infrastructure, and there are many underdeveloped countries which are not able of develop this technology. The quality of basic MOS determines performance of VLSI chip. VLSI design was first implemented and developed late in 19th century. Complex semiconductor devices and various communication technologies were implemented through this. Microprocessor, graphics processing unit and even sound system and other input output devices have this chip. First chip was developed which consists of only two transistors in contrast to present day which holds at least a million transistors.
The first integrated circuits were made by use of very basic type of this technology and hardly some tens of diodes and transistors were implemented. Now days we enjoy a greater speeds of communication and transmission as well as calculation only because of the development in this field. Various types of integration technology are large scale technology, small scale integration, medium scale integration and large scale integration. There are many companies working hard and researching in this field and developing various other means to develop this technology of circuit integration so that one can get very best calculations in no time. There are many advantages of this technology is that this technology is even exploited to make memory devices which help in working of computer. memory cells which are made of this type of integrations helpful as processor can find desired location of memory in a very less time and can fetch data and do function and operations very quickly which enhances speed. Some of developments in this field of VLSI technology are structured VLSI design techniques. The manufacturing of microprocessors is becoming complex day by day and there are many aspects that designers must think about such as heat dissipation, variation in process, design rules and regulations. If one wish to think about developments which has occurred in this field must go through die structure and should observe how dies structure has shrink for better performance and better sustainability.

Diabetes

One of the common disease these days is diabetes milletus. It is the condition in which blood sugar level is elevated. Your insulin is not working properly either not producing insulin or not making enough insulin. Insulin is hormone produced by pancreas and this hormone maintains the proper glucose level in blood. Glucose comes from carbohydrates and is used by the cells for their function and growth. If insulin is not functioning normally then glucose will be prevented to enter into the cell by insulin. Lack of insulin causes urination and makes a person thirsty. When glucose is not stored or use properly by body then it leads to hunger and weight loss.
General symptoms of diabetes are urination , loss of appetite , unusual weight loss, excessive thirst , tiredness , blurred vision , slow healing , vaginal infections , dry mouth , itching , nausea or vomiting , thrush.
There are three types of diabetes.
Type 1: referred as Juvenile diabetes. Usually young age people are affected from this type. In this kind of diabetes auto immune system destroys beta cell of insulin in pancreas so insulin is not produced and without insulin in severe condition an individual can go into coma or can die.
Type 2: it is the most common type of diabetes and is referred as late onset diabetes. 90 % people are affected from it. It results when insulin is not properly produced or cell in the body does not react with the insulin insulin resistance. It is genetic in origin.
Gestational diabetes: Occurs in frequently in women when there is a less ability to produce insulin to meet extra needs in pregnancy.
It is usually controlled by proper diet and exercise but if these natural methods are failed then insulin injection and drugs are given to control it.
